Isiah Thomas Decides NOT To Return To Knicks

There is good in the world: Isiah Thomas has chosen not to take the job with Knicks!  That’s the official wording so far, but as ESPN.com reports, this only happened after he had a conversation with NBA commissioner David Stern.  The league had been reviewing whether Thomas holding jobs in both the NBA and NCAA was illegal according to the NBA bylaws.  Yesterday they said they were hopeful they’d come to a decision by today.  Smells like they told Isiah they would either nullify his contract or he could save what tiny bit o’ dignity he has left by just refusing the gig.  Kinda like accepting a plea bargain rather than going to trial and having your name dragged through the mud.  Maybe Isiah did learn something from the Anucha Browne Sanders case after all…

Thank you, David Stern, for saving us Knick fans from our owner.
