Dwyane Wade Compares 9/11 to the Heat losing Games

In a recent interview with NBA Fanhouse, Dwyane Wade compared the Heat going a losing skid this season to the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.

Here’s a snippet from the article:

“We’re going to be wearing a bullseye. But that’s what you play for,” Wade said. “We enjoy the bullseye. Plus, there’s going to be times when we lose 2-3 games in a row, and it seems like the world has crashed down. You all are going to make it seem like the World Trade is coming down again, but it’s not going to be nothing but a couple basketball games.

Wow. Just wow, I’m just perplexed at how Wade thought it was ok to compare losing a couple basketball games to 9/11. Not only is this just awful taste, but I really have no clue how he came to this assumption. Yes Wade, if you and your new Pippen (LeBron), struggle this season and do not win a title the SPORTS media will be hounding you constantly. Believe it or not, you and your new super friends are not on the same level in importance as 9/11.

I don’t know if it’s possible to dislike a team as much as I do right now.
