NBA List Of Double-Doublers Contains A Surprise

The website Ridiculous Upside looked at the list of players in the NBA averaging double digits in two stats (usually two out of three from points, rebounds and assists). Here’s the list, minus one player I’m hiding:

Andrew Bogut, Chris Bosh, Carlos Boozer, Tim Duncan, Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, David Lee, Kevin Love, Troy Murphy, Steve Nash, Joakim Noah, Chris Paul, Zach Randolph, Gerald Wallace and Deron Williams.

Me, I was surprised to learn that Gerald Wallace has averaged over 10 rebounds a game this season, but what surprised Ridiculous was the one player I hid:

what you should have noticed is that former Iowa Energy center Earl Barron is [...] averaging a double-double in the NBA [...] even though he’s played in just five games!

Through five games this season with the New York Knicks, Barron is averaging 12.6 points and 11.4 rebounds even though he didn’t average a double-double in his 66 game D-League career (15.1 points, 9.5 rebounds).

Barron truly is better in the NBA than he was in the D-League.
